Our story
We're Tanzanians.
We've been where you are.
YPIT Consultancies was started in 2021 by a Tanzanian engineering graduate who knew the system from the inside out. Five years later, we've sent over 1,050 students to 15 countries — and we're just getting started.
“Every Tanzanian student with the drive to study abroad deserves a real shot at it — without getting taken advantage of along the way.”

From a borrowed desk
to 1,050+ placements.
Seven chapters of building something Tanzania didn't have.
The frustration
While studying Chemical Engineering at Marwadi University in Gujarat, Shedrack watched friends back home pay shady 'agents' for promises that never materialized. He started helping them for free.
YPIT is born
Back in Dar es Salaam, Shedrack formalized what he'd been doing informally. YPIT Consultancies Limited registered with BRELA (License 157761447). First office: a borrowed desk at Posta.
First 100 students
By year-end, 100 students had been placed across India, China, and Malaysia. The team grew to 4. The Coventry University partnership opened the UK door.
Expansion year
Arusha regional office opened. Partnerships signed with London Metropolitan, Nanjing University, and C3S Business School. Visa success rate hit 95%.
500+ placements
Crossed 500 cumulative placements. Launched in-house IELTS prep. First scholarship event drew 300 students to NIC Investment House.
Going digital
Built the internal operations system that powers our 24-hour admission turnaround. Visa success rate climbed to 98%. Team grew to 8.
Today
1,050+ students placed. 50+ partner universities. New regional coordinators planned for Mwanza and Mbeya. A new public platform launches.
Five years. Counting in thousands.
Four values we won't trade for a closed deal.
Transparency before transactions.
We tell you the real cost, the real timeline, and the real odds — before you pay us a shilling.
Right-fit over big-name.
We won't push you toward a flashy university that doesn't suit you just to close a deal. The right program is the one you'll actually finish.
Tanzanian first.
We understand the visa officer's questions, the parent's worries, and the cousin's skepticism — because we've been there.
After-care matters.
Our job doesn't end at the airport. We stay in touch through your first year, because most consultancies vanish the moment you board the plane.
The Tanzanian who started it all.

Shedrack Juma Masine
Shedrack started YPIT in 2021 after his own study-abroad experience in India revealed how broken the consultancy landscape was for Tanzanian students. A Chemical Engineering graduate from Marwadi University (Gujarat, India), he's now placed over 1,050 students into universities across 15 countries. He believes the biggest barrier to studying abroad isn't money — it's information, and he's made it his life's work to fix that.
“I built YPIT because someone needed to. Now I'm just trying to make sure no Tanzanian student ever feels lost in this process again.”
The people who pick up when you call.
